Description

The Watson Cheyne Dissector is a double-ended instrument used for separating soft tissue, developing tissue planes, and lifting periosteum during spinal, orthopedic, and general surgical procedures. Its slim shape makes it easier to work in areas where there is not much room around the operative site.

The two ends have fine, contoured working surfaces that can be used for blunt dissection and tissue reflection. Having both ends on one instrument is useful when the working angle changes during a procedure. Rather than switching to another instrument, the dissector can simply be turned around to use the other end.

There are three length options: 18 cm (7″), 23 cm (9″), and 25 cm (10″). The 18 cm version is a more compact choice for areas where closer control is needed. The longer 23 cm and 25 cm versions provide additional reach when the working area is deeper. Choosing between the sizes depends on the procedure and the amount of access required.

The instrument has a balanced construction that allows it to be held comfortably while making controlled movements. Its slender working ends are suitable for working around bone and soft tissue when a finer dissecting surface is needed.

Made from surgical-grade stainless steel, it is intended for repeated use. Before supply, the instrument undergoes quality inspection, including checks of the working ends, handle, and overall finish. The stainless-steel construction also allows it to be cleaned, sterilized, and maintained as part of routine surgical instrument care.

With its double-ended design and choice of three lengths, the Watson Cheyne Dissector offers a practical option for tissue dissection and periosteal elevation where different working depths or angles may be required.
