Description
The Bayonet Micro Needle Holder is used for fine needle handling in cardiovascular, vascular, neurosurgical, and other microsurgical procedures. Its bayonet-shaped profile keeps the hand out of the direct line of sight, which can make it easier to see the needle and the tissue being sutured. This is especially useful when the working area is small or difficult to reach.
The jaws are finely made with a 1 mm profile for handling microsurgical needles. Their shape is intended to keep the needle steady during passage through tissue and help limit unwanted rotation or slipping. The narrow working end also leaves more room around the needle when suturing delicate structures.
Straight and curved jaw versions are available. The straight pattern provides a direct approach to the needle, while the curved version can be more convenient when the needle has to be approached from an angle or in a deeper operative field. Locking and non-locking options are also offered, giving surgeons a choice between fixed needle retention and direct control of the jaws.
It has a round-bodied construction that gives it a balanced feel during use. Its shape, together with the raised bayonet profile, allows the instrument to be moved without bringing the hand directly over the area being worked on. This can be particularly helpful during lengthy microsurgical suturing.
The instrument is manufactured from premium surgical-grade stainless steel. Each instrument undergoes quality inspection to check its construction, jaw alignment, and smooth working action before supply. Proper cleaning, sterilization, and handling help preserve the instrument for repeated surgical use.
For procedures where visibility around the suture line is important, the Bayonet Micro Needle Holder provides a useful alternative to a conventional straight needle holder. Its fine 1 mm jaws, choice of jaw pattern and locking mechanism, and bayonet profile make it suitable for delicate microsurgical needle manipulation.
