The Straight Adventitia Scissors – Flat Handle are surgical scissors used for cutting and separating the adventitia around blood vessels. They have a straight shape with pointed tips and a flat handle. The blades are narrow and extend in a straight line from the handle, giving the scissors a slim working end for use around small vessels.

The blades are 20 mm long and end in fine pointed tips. When the handles are closed, the two blades come together along the cutting edges. The pointed ends can be placed close to the tissue before the blades are closed. Their short blade length also keeps the cutting area small, which is useful when working on a limited section of tissue.

The scissors measure 18 cm (7″) from end to end. The longer body gives the hand some distance from the working area while the narrow blades reach forward. The straight blades can be brought directly toward the vessel instead of approaching it from an angle. This pattern is used for adventitial dissection and vessel preparation in vascular and microsurgical procedures.

The flat handle has a simple shape without a bulky grip. It is easy to hold between the fingers while the tips are placed at the area being cut. The scissors may also be used for other fine tissue cutting where a straight pointed blade is preferred. The narrow front section leaves the area around the vessel relatively open while the cutting is carried out.

The body is made from surgical stainless steel and has a smooth metal surface. The blades are finished to meet properly when the scissors are closed, with the pointed tips kept fine and even.
