Description
The Mallet is a surgical striking instrument used when a controlled impact is needed during an operative procedure. Three head sizes are available, with diameters of 30 mm, 35 mm, and 40 mm. The 30 mm head weighs 350 g (12 oz), the 35 mm head weighs 550 g (20 oz), and the 40 mm head weighs 700 g (25 oz). This range gives the surgical team a choice between lighter and heavier striking force rather than relying on a single mallet for every application.
