Description

The Oval Punch is designed for cutting in confined surgical areas where a broad, low-profile working end is useful. Its large oval bite gives the instrument a wider cutting surface while keeping the jaws relatively close to the working area. The design is described as an all-round punch for both end-on and lateral cutting.

The punch has a 4.4 mm jaw width and is available in five different configurations: Straight, Up biter, Up curved shaft, Left curved shaft, and Right curved shaft. The straight pattern gives a direct approach, while the other versions change the direction of the tip or shaft to make positioning easier from different angles.

The oval-shaped jaws are the main feature of the instrument. They open at the end of the long shaft and close through the ring handles, allowing the user to bring the cutting surfaces together with controlled finger movement. The broad oval bite gives the working end a different shape from the narrower punch designs.

The shaft options provide flexibility in how the punch reaches the operative site. A straight tip and shaft keep the approach direct, while the upward and curved patterns allow the working end to approach from above, below, or from either side. The left and right curved shaft options are especially useful when the direction of access matters.

A flushing port for cleaning is built into the instrument near the handle. It provides access to the internal section of the shaft and working mechanism during cleaning and reprocessing. This is useful for a long instrument with moving jaws, where the internal passage needs to be properly flushed.

Made from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, the punch is intended for repeated professional use and sterilization. Each instrument is carefully checked for quality, including the oval jaws, shaft, hinge, flushing port, handles, and overall finish.
