Description

The Aufricht (Peet) Nasal Rasp is used for smoothing and refining bone during nasal surgery. It measures 22 cm / 8¾” and has a long, narrow working end with a broad rounded handle. The slim profile makes it easy to guide over the nasal bones while keeping a comfortable grip at the other end.

The working surface is diamond-dusted, giving the rasp a fine abrasive texture for gradual removal of small amounts of bone. Rather than taking away a large section at once, the surface works through repeated strokes, which is useful when the nasal contour needs to be refined carefully.

In rhinoplasty, a nasal rasp can be used to smooth the nasal dorsum, reduce small bony irregularities, and refine areas after osteotomy or other bone work. It can also be used during reconstructive nasal procedures where the surface of the bone needs further shaping.
