Description

The Miller Nasal Rasp is used for smoothing and shaping bone during nasal surgery. It measures 18 cm / 7″ and has a double-ended design, with a rasping surface at each end of the handle. The central handle is long and easy to hold, while the working ends are shaped for access to different areas of the nasal framework.

The two ends have different surface patterns. One pair has a crosshatched rasping surface, while the other has a lined surface with a finer-looking pattern. Both ends also have a slightly curved profile, giving the surgeon options when working along the contours of the nasal bones.

In rhinoplasty and nasal reconstruction, a nasal rasp can be used to smooth bony irregularities, refine the nasal dorsum, and shape areas after osteotomy or other bone work. It is useful when only a small amount of bone needs to be removed and the surface needs to be brought down gradually rather than cut away.

The double-ended design means the instrument can be turned around when a different rasping pattern or direction is preferred. The working ends are relatively compact, while the 18 cm length gives enough reach for work around the nasal framework. The handle also provides a comfortable area for the repeated strokes used during rasping.

The instrument has a surgical stainless steel construction with tungsten carbide working surfaces. Before dispatch, every piece goes through our quality inspection process. Our quality inspectors check the rasping ends, shaft, handle, surface finish, and overall construction to make sure each instrument meets our required quality standards before it is packed for delivery.

For nasal contouring, the Miller Nasal Rasp gives two different working surface patterns in one compact instrument. The double-ended arrangement is useful during finishing work, allowing the surgeon to switch between the available surfaces while smoothing and refining the nasal bones during rhinoplasty and related procedures.
