Description

The DeBakey Peripheral Clamp is used to clamp blood vessels during peripheral vascular surgery. It has long and narrow jaws that are very useful. The jaws have fine serrations along the inner surfaces. The clamp comes with either straight or angled shanks, depending on how the instrument needs to be positioned during a procedure.

These clamps are available in four options: straight shanks in 19.5 cm (7¾”) and 22 cm (8¾”) lengths, and angled shanks in the same two lengths. This gives a choice of both shaft shape and overall reach while keeping the same basic jaw design.

The straight-shank version has a direct line from the handles to the jaws. On the angled pattern, the shanks change direction near the working end. Both versions have narrow jaws with serrated inner edges for gripping the vessel during clamping.

The handles have oval finger rings and a ratchet lock near the central joint. The lock holds the jaws closed until released. The long arms keep the handles away from the working end, while the choice of straight or angled shanks changes the instrument’s approach to the surgical site.

The clamp is made from surgical stainless steel for repeated use with proper cleaning and sterilization. Each instrument undergoes quality inspection before dispatch, with attention to its construction, surface finish, and overall workmanship.

The DeBakey Peripheral Clamp is available in four configurations: straight or angled shanks, each in 19.5 cm and 22 cm lengths. All versions feature fine serrations, oval ring handles, and a ratchet lock. The suitable pattern depends on the access and reach required for the procedure.
