Description
The DeBakey Anastomosis Clamp has angled shanks and a bend near the tips that is quite prominent. The jaws are narrow and there are multiple fine serrations along the inner gripping surfaces. Their shape gives the clamp an offset working end, which is useful when positioning the instrument around a vessel during vascular surgery.
The clamp measures 17 cm (6¾”) in length. Its jaws turn upwards at the tips before following an angled path back towards the joint. This gives the instrument a different profile from clamps with straight jaws or a simple curve. The compact length of the instrument also makes it smaller than many of the longer clamps used in vascular procedures.
The gripping surfaces follow the bends in the jaws, and the fine serrations extend along much of their length. The tips have a short and upward curve, while the shanks continue down towards the central joint. Both sides have a matching shape, giving the clamp its characteristic appearance.
The handles have two oval finger rings which make it easier to hold. There is also a ratchet lock beside the joint. When engaged, the ratchet keeps the jaws closed until released. The angled shanks separate the handles from the working end and are a defining feature of this pattern.
The clamp is made from surgical stainless steel and is suitable for repeated use after proper cleaning and sterilization. Before dispatch, each instrument goes through our quality inspection process. Our team checks the construction, surface finish, and overall workmanship before the product is packed.
The DeBakey Anastomosis Clamp is supplied in a 17 cm (6¾”) length. It has angled shanks, upward-curving jaws, fine serrations, oval finger rings, and a ratchet lock. Its particular jaw shape distinguishes it from other clamps in the range and makes it a separate option for surgical instrument requirements.
