Description
The Cooley Coarctation Clamp is available in three patterns, with straight, curved, and more strongly curved jaws. The jaws are long and narrow. There are multiple fine serrations along the inner gripping surfaces. These different shapes give surgeons a choice of working angle when using the clamp during surgery involving the aorta.
The straight pattern measures 17 cm (6¾”). The second pattern is also 17 cm (6¾”), but its jaws follow a gentle curve. The third version has a more pronounced curve and measures 18 cm (7″). The difference is visible at the working end, while the general ring-handle design remains the same.
The straight jaws extend forward without a noticeable bend. On the second version, the jaws curve gradually along their length. The third pattern has a deeper curve that gives it a different profile from the other two. All three have narrow gripping surfaces with fine serrations running along the inner edges.
The clamp has two oval finger rings connected to long and slim shanks. A ratchet lock is present near the joint and holds the jaws closed when engaged. The handles have the same general arrangement across the range, so the main choice is the jaw shape and overall length rather than a change in handle design.
Each clamp is made from surgical stainless steel and is intended for repeated use after proper cleaning and sterilization. Before dispatch, every instrument goes through our quality inspection process. Our team checks the construction, surface finish, and overall workmanship before the clamp is packed for delivery.
The Cooley Coarctation Clamp comes in three patterns: a straight 17 cm version, a curved 17 cm version, and a more strongly curved 18 cm version. All have fine serrations, long shanks, oval finger rings, and a ratchet lock. The different jaw profiles allow customers to choose the pattern required for their instrument range.
