The Javid Carotid Bypass Clamp – Large Ring is used to hold a shunt tube during carotid surgery. It has long, narrow jaws with small hooked tips and a 70° angle at the working end. The angled shape allows the clamp to approach the shunt from a different direction than the smaller 60° pattern.

This version measures 18 cm (7″) in length and has larger finger rings. Compared with the 15 cm model with small rings and a 60° angle, this clamp is longer and has a more pronounced angle at the jaws. These are the main differences between the two versions in the range.

The jaws extend forward in a narrow shape and curve upwards at the tips. Small hooks are visible at the ends, while the rest of the jaws remain slim. The angle continues into the shanks, which run back towards the joint and handles. The working end is shaped for holding the shunt tube during the procedure.

The handles have two large oval finger rings and a ratchet lock near the joint. The rings provide room for the fingers when opening and closing the clamp. Once engaged, the ratchet holds the jaws closed until released. The longer shanks connect the handles to the hooked, angled working end.
