Description
The DeBakey-Satinsky Bulldog Clamp – Curved is a compact vascular instrument that is used to temporarily clamp blood vessels during surgery. It has curved jaws with a spring-operated body that allows the clamp to close without the long shanks and finger rings found on larger surgical clamps.
This model has a 55 mm jaw length. The jaws curve near the tip before extending back towards the body. Their narrow gripping surfaces have fine serrations along the inner edges. The curve is the main feature of this version and distinguishes it from the straight and angled patterns in the bulldog clamp range.
The bend in the jaws changes the direction from which the clamp approaches the vessel. Rather than extending directly forward, the working end follows a curve and then turns towards the body. The serrated surfaces run along the jaws, while the ends remain narrow. This shape gives the instrument its distinct profile.
The body has a central circular section, a ridged gripping area, and a spring mechanism at the rear. The spring provides the closing action, while the textured surfaces help with handling the instrument. Its compact construction makes it different from ring-handled clamps, which usually have longer arms and a ratchet lock.
The clamp is made from surgical stainless steel and is intended for repeated use after proper cleaning and sterilization. Before dispatch, every instrument goes through our quality inspection process. Our team checks the construction, surface finish, spring mechanism, and overall workmanship before the clamp is packed for delivery.
The DeBakey-Satinsky Bulldog Clamp – Curved has 55 mm curved jaws with fine serrations and a compact, spring-operated body. The curved working end sets it apart from other bulldog clamp patterns, while the ridged grip and central body form part of its distinctive construction. It is supplied for customers looking for this specific curved design in their vascular instrument range.
