Description
The American Pattern Suction Tube is used to remove blood and other fluids from the surgical site during an operation. It has a slim, slightly curved tube at the working end and a metal connector at the other end for attachment to a suction line. Its narrow profile allows the tip to reach areas where a larger suction tube may be difficult to position.
The tube measures 16.5 cm (6½”) in overall length. The working end is narrow and gently bent, while the opposite end has a wider metal fitting. This change in shape separates the suction tip from the connection point and gives the instrument its recognisable profile.
The shaft is long and slim, with a gradual curve near the tip rather than a sharp bend. The opening at the working end is small compared with the connector. This pattern is designed for suction during surgery, where fluids need to be drawn away to keep the operative area clear. The tube’s length and narrow tip are its main physical features.
At the other end, the metal connector has several stepped sections that form the attachment point for the suction tubing. The fitting is wider than the shaft and has a ridged section near its end. This design provides a connection between the narrow working tube and the suction equipment used in the operating room.
The instrument is made from surgical stainless steel and is intended for reuse after proper cleaning and sterilization. Before dispatch, each tube passes through our quality inspection process. Our team checks the tube, connector, surface finish, and overall workmanship before the instrument is packed for delivery.
The American Pattern Suction Tube measures 16.5 cm (6½”) and has a slim, gently curved working end with a stepped metal connector. It is used to remove fluids from the surgical field and connect to suction equipment. Its narrow shaft, curved tip, and metal fitting distinguish this pattern from larger or differently shaped suction instruments.
