Description

The Ferris-Smith Disc Rongeur is made for removing disc material and soft tissue during discectomy, spinal decompression, and other spinal procedures. It comes with a choice of straight or 40° upward jaw, so the instrument can be selected based on the angle that works better for the area being reached.

The straight jaw gives a direct approach, while the 40° upward version gives the working end a different angle when a straight approach isn’t quite as convenient. Having both options can be useful when working in different areas of the spine, since the same jaw position isn’t always ideal for every procedure.

There are four bite sizes available: 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, and 5 mm.
