Description

The Cement Gouge is designed for orthopedic procedures where bone cement needs to be removed or worked around. It has a long 34.5 cm (13½”) length, giving the instrument plenty of reach for deeper areas. The working end is broad and flat, with a narrow shaft connecting it to the handle.

The gouge is available with two working widths: 9 mm and 11 mm. The 9 mm blade gives a narrower contact area, while the 11 mm version covers a little more surface. Both options use the same long pattern, so the choice mainly depends on the space and amount of cement being worked on.

The working end has a shallow, scoop-like shape with a flat cutting edge. This allows it to be placed against the cement and worked forward in a controlled manner. The long shaft keeps the handle away from the immediate working area, which is useful when access is limited.

The 34.5 cm (13½”) length also gives the gouge useful reach without requiring the hand to be positioned close to the tip. The shaft has a slight change in angle before joining the handle, while the broad handle provides a steady grip during use.

The blue handle is rounded and easy to hold, with openings at the end that can be useful for handling and storage. The simple construction keeps the working end unobstructed and makes it straightforward to position against the cement before applying controlled pressure.

Made from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, the metal portion is intended for repeated professional use and sterilization. Each instrument is carefully checked for quality, including the working edge, shaft, handle connection, and overall finish. The blade should be inspected before use for bending, chips, or other damage.

With its long reach and choice of 9 mm or 11 mm working width, the Cement Gouge is suited to controlled cement removal and related orthopedic bone work.
