Description

The Hook Scissors are designed for controlled cutting in a confined surgical area. They have a long, straight shaft with a distinctive hooked working end. The hook-shaped jaws give the tip a different approach from conventional straight scissors and allow the cutting area to stay close to the tissue being worked on.

The instrument has a straight shaft and hook-shaped working end. The jaws open and close through the ring handles, with the cutting section positioned at the very tip. The narrow shaft keeps the instrument relatively unobtrusive around the operative site while the handles remain outside the immediate working area.

The hooked tip is the main feature of the design. Its curved outer profile creates a small working space between the jaws when they are opened. This allows the user to position the tip around the material being cut before bringing the jaws together. The shape also makes the working end easy to distinguish from a conventional straight scissor tip.

The long shaft gives the instrument a direct path from the hand to the hook. The ring handles provide familiar finger control, allowing the jaws to be opened and closed with small movements. The straight-shaft pattern shown here keeps the approach simple without adding a bend farther along the instrument.

A flushing port for cleaning is built into the instrument near the handle. It provides access to the internal shaft during cleaning and reprocessing. This is particularly useful for a long, narrow instrument with an internal moving mechanism, where proper flushing helps prepare the instrument for repeated use.

Made from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, the instrument is intended for repeated professional use and sterilization. Each instrument is carefully checked for quality, including the hooked jaws, straight shaft, hinge, flushing port, handles, and overall finish. The working end should be inspected before use for proper jaw movement, alignment, and any visible damage.

The Hook Scissors combine a straight shaft with a hooked cutting end for controlled work where a specialized tip is required.
