Description
The Krayenbühl Nerve and Vessel Hook is a fine surgical hook used to lift and move small nerves, vessels, and other delicate tissue during surgery. It has a long, narrow shaft with a small hooked end and a straight handle at the opposite side. The working tip is turned to one side rather than sitting directly in line with the shaft.
The instrument has an overall length of 18.5 cm (7¼”). Its long shaft keeps the handle away from the area being worked on while the small hook reaches into the operative field. A textured section near the handle gives the fingers a better place to rest when the hook is being positioned.
Three hook patterns are available. The tips differ slightly in their shape and angle, as shown by the three options in the range. Each has a narrow working end with a small bend at the tip. The fine profile allows the hook to be placed around a small structure without taking up much space in the surgical field.
These hooks are used in neurosurgery and vascular surgery for handling small nerves and blood vessels. They may be used to gently lift a vessel during dissection, move a nerve away from the working area, or separate a small structure from the surrounding tissue. The different tip patterns allow the surgeon to choose the shape that fits the area being exposed.
The instrument is made from surgical stainless steel for repeated use and sterilization. Before dispatch, every piece goes through our quality inspection process. The shaft, handle, hook tip, and surface finish are checked carefully, with attention given to the small working end so that it is properly formed and free from unwanted roughness.
At 18.5 cm (7¼”) long, the Krayenbühl Nerve and Vessel Hook has a slim shaft, textured handle section, and three available hook patterns for different surgical approaches. Its small working tips are intended for handling nerves, vessels, and delicate structures during neurosurgical and vascular procedures.
