The Glover Bulldog Clamp – Curved is a small vascular instrument mostly used to temporarily clamp blood vessels during surgery. It has curved jaws that follow an arc instead of running straight ahead. The clamp has a spring-operated mechanism, and its closing pressure is adjustable.

Four sizes are available, with overall lengths of 46 mm, 64 mm, 78 mm, and 100 mm. The corresponding jaw lengths are 20 mm, 30 mm, 43 mm, and 56 mm. The range offers a choice of working length, from the smallest model with 20 mm jaws to the largest with 56 mm jaws.

The jaws curve along their length, with the bend becoming more noticeable towards the larger sizes shown. Their gripping surfaces are narrow and have fine serrations. These follow the curve of the jaws rather than forming a straight line. The curved pattern is the main difference between this model and the straight Glover Bulldog Clamp.

The body has a central circular section, with a spring mechanism at one end and ridged surfaces for handling. The spring provides the closing action, while the adjustable pressure allows the clamp’s closing force to be set as required. Its compact construction differs from ring-handled clamps, which have long shanks and a ratchet lock.
