Description

The Peet Nasal Rasp is a finishing rasp used to smooth and refine the nasal bones during rhinoplasty and other nasal procedures. It measures 19 cm / 7½” and has a fine diamond-dusted surface at the working end. The long handle gives the surgeon a comfortable grip while the rasp is moved over the bone.

Two tip options are available: curved and straight. The straight pattern provides a direct working surface, while the curved version can follow the contours of the nasal framework more easily. Both options have the same overall length and diamond surface, with the main difference being the shape of the working end.

In rhinoplasty, the rasp is mainly used for finishing work on the bony dorsum. It can smooth areas left uneven after osteotomy, reduce small irregularities, and refine the contour of the nasal bones. The diamond-dusted surface removes material gradually, making it suitable when only a small amount needs to be taken away.

The curved tip can be useful around more contoured areas of the nasal framework, while the straight tip gives a flatter working path. The fine diamond particles provide a consistent rasping action as the instrument is moved across the bone, helping the surgeon work toward a smoother surface.

The instrument has a surgical stainless steel construction. Before dispatch, every piece goes through our quality inspection process. Our quality inspectors examine the diamond surface, working end, shaft, handle, finish, and overall construction to ensure the finished instrument meets our required standards.

For the finishing stages of nasal surgery, the Peet Nasal Rasp gives the surgeon a choice between a straight or curved working tip. Its fine diamond surface is suited to gradual smoothing and contour refinement, particularly when working on the bony dorsum during rhinoplasty and related nasal procedures.
