Description

Cottle Alar Retractor with Lip is designed to hold the alar tissue aside during rhinoplasty and other nasal procedures. It measures 15 cm (6″) in length and has a 13 mm wide working end. The compact size makes it easy to position around the nostril while keeping the handle back from the immediate surgical area.

The working end has a curved shape with a raised lip that helps keep the tissue in place. Instead of using sharp prongs, the broad end rests against the tissue and provides a wider contact area. This makes the retractor useful when the alar edge needs to be held aside without a pointed tip pressing into it.

During rhinoplasty, the retractor can be used to improve access around the nasal vestibule and alar region.
