Description

The Curved Dissecting Scissors Flat Handle have a curved cutting end and a flat handle. They are used for cutting and separating soft tissue. The blades curve upward from the joint and have rounded tips. The handle continues behind the joint as a flat, narrow section rather than a pair of finger rings.

The working end has rounded tips with the cutting edges running along the inside of the curved blades. Both blades follow the same curve and come together when the handle is pressed. The shape of the blades allows the scissors to be brought along the tissue from a curved direction.

Three sizes are available. The shortest measures 11 cm (4¼”) and has a 19 mm blade. The 15 cm (6″) size also has a 19 mm blade. The larger scissors measure 18 cm (7″) and have a 20 mm blade. The different lengths give a choice between a shorter or longer working reach.

The flat handle is made from two slim sections joined at the back. It has no large finger rings and is opened by pressing the handle sections together and allowing them to spring apart. The handle leads directly into the central joint, with the curved blades forming the working end.

The scissors are made from surgical stainless steel with a smooth surface. The curved blades are joined at the central screw and the rounded tips are finished evenly. Before dispatch, every piece goes through our quality inspection process. Our quality inspectors check the blade edges, tip shape, joint, handle movement, curved profile, and surface finish before packing.

The Curved Dissecting Scissors Flat Handle are supplied in 11 cm, 15 cm, and 18 cm lengths. The first two sizes have 19 mm blades, while the 18 cm size has a 20 mm blade. The curved blades, rounded tips, and flat spring handle are suitable for dissecting and cutting soft tissue.
