Description

The Frontoglabellar Dissector is used during endoscopic forehead and brow lift procedures, specifically for dissection around the naso-glabellar area of the forehead. Its 26 cm / 10½” length gives the surgeon enough reach through small scalp incisions, while the S-shaped 7 mm working end is shaped to follow the contour of this part of the forehead.

The S-shaped shaft changes the angle of the working end without requiring the handle to sit directly over the surgical area. Its 7 mm width gives the tip a relatively narrow working surface for separating tissue in the central forehead and glabellar region.

During an endoscopic brow lift, this type of dissector can be introduced into the subperiosteal plane and used to continue the dissection toward the glabellar area. It can also help with elevation of the tissue over the lower forehead as the surgeon develops the required plane.

At 26 cm / 10½” long, it provides the reach needed for this deeper part of the procedure without making the working end unnecessarily large. The curved profile is particularly suited to following the forehead contour rather than working with a completely straight instrument.
