Description
The Gregory ‘Soft’ Carotid Bulldog Clamp is a vascular instrument used to temporarily clamp blood vessels during carotid surgery. It has a compact body and narrow jaws, with a spring-operated closing mechanism. The range includes both straight and angled jaw patterns, allowing customers to choose the shape that suits their instrument requirements.
Four sizes are available. The straight patterns measure 90 mm and 110 mm overall, with jaw lengths of 27 mm and 44 mm, respectively. The angled patterns measure 105 mm and 110 mm, with jaw lengths of 55 mm and 60 mm. This gives the range two straight options and two angled options.
The first two versions have jaws that extend straight ahead from the body. The other two have a bend near the working end, with the tips turning at an angle. All four patterns have narrow jaws with fine serrations along the gripping surfaces. The jaw shape and length are the main differences between the available models.
The clamp has a central joint and a broad rear body with ridged surfaces for handling. A spring mechanism provides the closing action, so the instrument does not use the long arms, finger rings, and ratchet lock found on conventional ring-handled clamps. Its compact design makes it distinct from larger vascular instruments.
The clamps are made from surgical stainless steel and are intended for repeated use after proper cleaning and sterilization. Before dispatch, every instrument passes through our quality inspection process. Our team checks the construction, surface finish, and overall workmanship before the clamp is packed for delivery.
The Gregory ‘Soft’ Carotid Bulldog Clamp range includes four patterns, with overall lengths from 90 mm to 110 mm and jaw lengths from 27 mm to 60 mm. The straight and angled designs offer different working-end shapes, while all versions share a compact, spring-operated body. Customers can select the required size and jaw pattern when ordering.
