The Hey Groves Bone Holding Forceps are designed for holding, reducing, and manipulating larger bone fragments during orthopedic trauma and reconstructive procedures. They are commonly used in fracture fixation and long bone surgery, where a strong grip is needed to keep a fragment in position during reduction. The larger jaw size also makes them suitable for handling substantial bone structures.

The working end has large oval serrated jaws that are shaped to sit around the bone and provide a firm hold. The serrated surfaces engage the cortical bone and help prevent the fragment from slipping during manipulation. The broad oval shape gives the jaws a larger contact area, which is useful when working with bones such as the femur, tibia, and humerus.

A screw-joint compression mechanism allows the jaws to be tightened around the bone and held in the selected position. This gives the user control over the amount of pressure applied while reducing or stabilizing a fragment. The extended handles provide a secure area to hold the forceps while the screw mechanism is adjusted.
