Description
The Javid Carotid Bypass Clamp is designed to hold a shunt tube in place during carotid surgery. It has narrow jaws with small hooked tips and a 60° angled design. The handles are set back from the working end, allowing the clamp to reach the area where the shunt is positioned without the finger rings sitting directly beside it.
The clamp measures 15 cm (6″) in length and has small finger rings. Its short overall length makes it a compact instrument compared with longer vascular clamps. The angled jaws are the main feature of this pattern, along with the small rings specified for this model.
The two jaws extend forward in a narrow line before turning at the tips. Each end has a small hook. These tips differ from the broad gripping surfaces found on some other vascular clamps. The 60° angle changes the approach of the working end, while the slim shape keeps the jaws close together.
The handles have two small oval finger rings, with a ratchet lock near the joint. The lock holds the jaws closed when engaged and can be released to open the clamp. The long, slender arms connect the handles to the angled tips. The small rings and hooked jaws give this model its particular design.
The clamp is made from surgical stainless steel and is intended for repeated use after proper cleaning and sterilization. Before dispatch, each instrument goes through our quality inspection process. Our team checks the construction, surface finish, and overall workmanship before the clamp is packed for delivery.
The Javid Carotid Bypass Clamp measures 15 cm (6″) and has a 60° angled working end, small finger rings, and hooked jaws. It is listed for holding the shunt tube during carotid surgery. The compact size and angled tips distinguish it from other clamps in the vascular instrument range.
