Description
The Langenbeck Retractor is a widely used surgical instrument designed for the retraction of skin, soft tissue, muscle, and wound edges during plastic, reconstructive, orthopedic, general, and trauma procedures. Its simple yet highly effective design provides reliable exposure of the surgical field while minimizing obstruction and maintaining excellent access to underlying structures.
The retractor is available in four blade configurations to suit a variety of surgical applications. Available sizes include a small pattern with a 22 mm blade length and 6 mm blade width, a medium pattern with a 45 mm blade length and 13 mm blade width, a large pattern with a 65 mm blade length and 25 mm blade width, and an extra-large pattern with a 90 mm blade length and 20 mm blade width. These options allow surgeons to select the most appropriate blade size based on tissue depth and exposure requirements.
With an overall length of 21.5 cm (8½”), the Langenbeck Retractor offers excellent reach, leverage, and maneuverability. The angled blade design facilitates effective tissue retraction while maintaining clear visualization of the operative site. Its ergonomic handle provides a secure grip and dependable control, allowing stable retraction throughout both routine and complex surgical procedures.
Manufactured from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, every Langenbeck Retractor undergoes rigorous quality control inspection to ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and dependable long-term performance. Its multiple blade sizes, versatile design, and reliable tissue retraction capabilities make it one of the most commonly used retractors in modern surgery.
