Description

The Muller Femoral Retractor is used during hip procedures to hold the femoral neck out of the way and give the surgeon better access to the joint. It is intended for hip arthroplasty, joint reconstruction, and other orthopedic procedures where the femur needs to be retracted during the operation.

The working end has a curved blade measuring 28 mm in width. The shape of the blade allows it to sit around the femoral neck while providing a broad surface for retraction. Its curved form also helps keep the retractor in position as the tissue and bone are moved aside.

At 35 cm (13½”) overall, the instrument provides the length needed to reach the hip joint while keeping the handle away from the immediate surgical area.
