Description
The Pelvic Reduction Forceps – Small Angled Pattern are designed for holding and repositioning pelvic and acetabular fracture fragments during trauma procedures. They are commonly used during open reduction and internal fixation when the fragments need to be brought into alignment and kept there while fixation is prepared.
The forceps have angled reduction arms with pointed ball tips at the ends. The ball tips provide a secure point of contact with the bone without having a sharp point driven directly into the cortical surface. The smaller jaw configuration is useful when working around smaller fragments or in areas where there is not much room for a larger reduction forceps.
The ring handles incorporate a speed-lock compression mechanism. This allows the forceps to be placed and adjusted quickly, then held at the selected level of compression.
