Description
The Pooles Suction Tube is used to remove blood and fluid from the operative area, particularly where suction over a wider area is needed. It has a long and straight metal shaft with multiple small openings near the working end. These side holes are a defining feature of this pattern and distinguish it from suction tubes that have only one opening at the tip.
The tube measures 24 cm (9½”) in length with a 10 mm diameter. It is available with either a straight mount or a curved mount. The main suction tube remains the same general shape, but the mounting style differs to suit the required setup.
A row of small holes runs along the side of the tube near its rounded end. Fluid can enter through these openings as well as the end of the tube. The shaft is wide compared with finer suction instruments.
At the opposite end, the tube has a wider collar and a ridged connector for attachment to compatible suction equipment. The collar sits between the long shaft and the connector. The straight-mount version has a direct alignment, while the curved-mount option provides a bend at the mounting end.
The instrument is made from surgical stainless steel and is intended for reuse where applicable, following the required cleaning and sterilization procedures. Before dispatch, our quality inspection team checks the tube, side openings, mounting section, connector, and surface finish. Each item is inspected for construction and workmanship before it is packed for shipment.
The Pooles Suction Tube is 24 cm (9½”) long, with a 10 mm diameter and multiple side openings near the working end. It is offered with a straight or curved mount. Both options retain the wide suction tube and ridged rear connector, with the mount style being the main difference between the two versions.
