Description

The Toothed Bone Curette is used for scraping and removing bone or tissue during orthopedic procedures. It has a 27 cm (9¾”) length and a long, narrow shaft that keeps the handle away from the working area. The working end is shaped as a sharp spoon with teeth for scraping and scooping.

Two cup sizes are available: small 9 mm Ø and medium 15 mm Ø. The smaller cup is suited to more confined areas, while the 15 mm cup provides a wider working surface when more material needs to be removed. Both options have the same overall length.

The toothed edge gives the spoon a more aggressive working surface than a smooth curette. As the cup is moved across the bone, the teeth help catch and remove material rather than simply sliding over the surface. The rounded spoon also gives a space for the material to collect as it is lifted.

The long shaft makes it easier to reach the working area while keeping the hand farther back from the operative site. Its straight profile also allows the curette to be positioned and guided with small movements, which can be useful when working around a specific area of bone.

The broad blue handle provides a firm grip for guiding the instrument during scraping. Its shape allows the curette to be held securely while pressure is applied to the working end.

Made from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, the curette is intended for repeated professional use and sterilization. Each instrument is carefully checked for quality, including the spoon, toothed edge, shaft, handle, and overall finish. The working end should be inspected before use for damaged or bent teeth.

The Toothed Bone Curette combines a sharp toothed spoon with a long shaft for controlled bone and tissue removal in orthopedic procedures.
