Description

The Baby-Mixter Forceps have fine and curved jaws with serrations along the inner edges. The narrow tips are designed to hold the tissue in surgical areas where access is quite limited. The curved shape of these forceps also allows the surgeon to approach tissue from an angle, which is very crucial in some cases.

These forceps are available in two lengths. It comes in 14 cm (5¾”) and 18 cm (7″). Both of these sizes have the same curved jaw pattern, slim shafts, and ring handles. The longer version simply provides the extra reach when needed, as compared to the smaller variant.

The fine serrations extend along the gripping surfaces of the jaws. When closed, the tips meet to hold the tissue between them. The slender construction keeps the working end narrow rather than bulky.

The handles have oval finger rings and a ratchet lock to hold the jaws closed. The lock can be released when the instrument needs to open. This ring-handled design is commonly used for forceps that need a sustained grip during a procedure.

Made from surgical stainless steel, the forceps are intended for repeated use after proper cleaning and sterilization. Each instrument should be checked for jaw alignment, intact serrations, and smooth movement of the joint and ratchet before use.

The Baby-Mixter Forceps are supplied in 14 cm and 18 cm lengths, with fine curved jaws, serrated gripping edges, and a ratchet lock. The two sizes offer a choice of reach while retaining the same basic design.
