Description
The DeBakey Bulldog Clamp – Straight is a compact vascular instrument used to temporarily clamp blood vessels during surgery. It has straight jaws and a spring-operated body, without the long shafts and finger rings found on larger vascular clamps. The straight pattern gives the working end a direct line, and the range includes several sizes to suit different jaw-length requirements.
Four sizes are available, with overall lengths of 80 mm, 90 mm, 105 mm, and 125 mm. The corresponding jaw lengths are 20 mm, 30 mm, 45 mm, and 68 mm. Each size has the same straight-jaw design, but the working length increases with the overall size. This gives customers a choice of clamp dimensions within the same pattern.
The jaws are narrow and extend forward from the central body. Their gripping surfaces have fine serrations, visible along the length of the jaws in the illustration. The larger sizes have longer jaws, while the smaller version has a shorter working end.
The clamp has a central joint and a spring mechanism at the rear. The ridged grip surfaces provide an area to hold when positioning or releasing the instrument. Its compact, spring-operated construction differs from ring-handled clamps, which use long arms and a ratchet lock.
The clamps are offered in surgical stainless steel and titanium, with titanium versions available as shown in the catalogue. Before dispatch, each instrument goes through our quality inspection process. Our team checks the construction, surface finish, and overall workmanship before the product is packed for delivery.
The DeBakey Bulldog Clamp – Straight range includes four sizes, from 80 mm to 125 mm overall length, with jaw lengths from 20 mm to 68 mm. All four have straight jaws and a spring-operated body. Customers can select the required dimensions and choose between the standard stainless steel version and the listed titanium option.
