Description
The Grasping Forceps are designed for controlled grasping and handling of tissue during minimally invasive procedures. The long, narrow shaft keeps the working jaws away from the hand, while the ring handles provide familiar finger control. A slide-lock mechanism is built into the handle, allowing the jaws to remain engaged without continuous pressure on the rings.
Several jaw patterns are available within this range. The Shark Grasping Forceps have serrated jaws with 1 × 2 interlocking teeth, giving the working end a defined grip. The Alligator Grasping Forceps feature multiple backward-facing teeth and a 2.7 mm jaw for a different type of tissue hold.
Another option is the Cupped Grasper, which has a 3.3 mm cupped serrated jaw. Its recessed working surface provides a different contact shape from the toothed alligator and shark patterns. The Heavy Alligator Grasping Forceps have a larger jaw with multiple teeth for applications where a broader toothed grip is needed.
The slide lock is positioned within the handle mechanism and can be adjusted while the forceps are being used. This lets the jaws stay closed around the material being held, leaving the user’s hand less occupied with maintaining pressure. The long shaft also helps keep the handle and locking mechanism away from the immediate working area.
A flushing port for cleaning is located near the handle. It provides access to the internal section of the instrument during cleaning and reprocessing, which is useful for a long instrument with moving jaws and a locking mechanism.
Made from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, the instrument is intended for repeated professional use and sterilization. Each forceps is carefully checked for quality, including the jaws, teeth, slide lock, hinge, flushing port, and overall finish. The working end should be inspected before use for proper alignment and smooth jaw movement.
The Grasping Forceps range offers shark, alligator, cupped, and heavy alligator jaw patterns for different grasping requirements.
