Description

The Holle Ligature Forceps have fine and curved jaws. It is basically designed for handling ligatures and grasping small structures during surgery. The tips curve upward, and the narrow jaws make it easier to work around tissue in areas with limited access.

The forceps come in three lengths. It comes in 18 cm (7″), 20 cm (8″), and 23 cm (9″) variants. The jaw shape stays the same across the range but the length of the shaft is different for each variant. The shorter size offers closer handling, and the longer versions provide additional reach.

Fine serrations run along the inner sides of the jaws. The tips are slender and gently curved, unlike the broader jaws found on some other forceps. Long arms connect the working end to the oval finger rings.

A ratchet between the handles keeps the jaws closed when engaged. The lock can be released when the forceps need to open. Because the tips are delicate, they should be handled carefully to avoid bending or damaging the jaw edges.

The instrument is made from surgical stainless steel. Before reuse, it needs proper cleaning and sterilization. The curved tips should be checked for alignment, and the serrations should be free from damage. The joint and ratchet also need to open, close, and lock properly.

The Holle Ligature Forceps are available in 18 cm, 20 cm, and 23 cm lengths. Each has fine curved jaws, serrated inner edges, and oval ring handles with a ratchet lock. The three sizes offer different shaft lengths while retaining the same basic design.
