Description

The Jacobson Micro Needle Holder is designed for delicate needle handling in cardiovascular, vascular, and microsurgical procedures. Its round-bodied design gives the instrument a balanced feel in the hand, which is useful when suturing requires small, deliberate movements. The different configurations also allow it to be selected according to the surgeon’s preferred technique and the working area.

The working end has fine 1.2 mm tungsten carbide jaws. These provide a firm grip on the needle while helping reduce slippage during suturing. The holder is suitable for fine sutures up to 8/0 needle sizes, making it appropriate for procedures where the needles and working space are both small.

Straight and curved jaw patterns are available, along with locking and non-locking versions. The locking type can hold the needle in position once the desired grip is established, while the non-locking pattern gives the surgeon more direct control over the needle throughout the suturing process.

This needle holder is offered in four lengths: 15 cm (6″), 18 cm (7″), 21 cm (8¼”), and 23 cm (9″). This range makes it possible to choose a length according to the depth and access required. A shorter holder can be easier to manage in a confined field, while the longer patterns provide additional reach.

With fine microsurgical jaws, even small irregularities in alignment or movement can affect handling. Each instrument undergoes quality control inspection to check the jaw alignment and smooth operation before supply. The instrument is manufactured from premium surgical-grade materials for repeated use in demanding clinical environments.

For surgeons working with very fine needles, the Jacobson Micro Needle Holder provides several practical configuration choices without changing its basic purpose. Its tungsten carbide jaws, round-bodied construction, and range of lengths make it suitable for cardiovascular, vascular, and other delicate microsurgical suturing procedures.
