Straight Nerve Cutting Scissors – Flat Handle are used for cutting and dissecting nerve, tendon, and other soft tissue. They have straight blades with fine pointed tips and a flat handle. The scissors measure 15 cm (6″) overall and have a narrow working end.

The blades measure 19 mm and run straight from the joint to the tips. Fine serrations are present along the cutting edges. These small serrations help hold the tissue between the blades as the scissors are closed. The pointed ends can be placed at the area where the cut is to begin.

The flat handle has a slim shape and is made for use between the fingers rather than with large finger rings. It connects directly to the central joint and the straight blades extend from the other side. The short blade length keeps the cutting part close to the front of the instrument.

These scissors can be used for nerve preparation, tendon cutting, adventitial dissection, and other fine tissue work. The straight blades are brought directly toward the tissue, while the pointed ends can be positioned around a small area before cutting. The serrated edges also help keep fine tissue from moving between the blades.

The scissors are made from surgical stainless steel with a smooth surface and firm construction.
