Description

The Tendon Interlacing Forceps are designed for handling and interlacing tendon tissue during orthopedic procedures. They measure 15 cm (6″) in length and have a narrow working end with fine, pointed jaws. The pointed tip is intended to separate the tendon without creating unnecessary splits as the forceps are passed through the tissue.

Two working patterns are available: straight and curved. The straight version gives a direct path into the tendon, while the curved version changes the approach slightly and can make it easier to work around the tissue when a straight instrument is not convenient.

The pointed jaws are the main working part of the forceps. Once the tip has been passed through the tendon, the jaws can grasp the tendon stump securely. The instrument is then used to pull the stump back through the tendon body as part of the interlacing technique.

At 15 cm (6″), the forceps are compact enough for close tendon work without having an unnecessarily long shaft. The narrow jaws also take up little space around the tendon, which is useful when the working area is already limited. The ring handles provide a familiar grip and allow the jaws to be opened and closed with the fingers.

The two patterns give the surgeon a choice of working angle while keeping the same overall length and basic forceps design. The straight and curved versions can therefore be selected according to the approach needed for the tendon being handled.

Made from premium surgical-grade stainless steel, the forceps are intended for repeated professional use and sterilization. Each instrument is carefully checked for quality, including the pointed jaws, alignment, hinge, handles, and overall finish. The tips should be checked before use to make sure they meet evenly and are free from bending or damage.

The Tendon Interlacing Forceps provide a fine, pointed working end for controlled tendon handling, with straight and curved options for different approaches.
